I'd heard of Agnoulita about a year ago (a friend is actually one of the featured photos). The hat is GREAT and I hate to say it, but an economically good value in the custom hat market. My only critique of the hat is the pleats on the liner. Fitting a hat to my head is an expectedly tricky business and the folded pleats along the front of the sweatband made the hat just a little bit too tight. After a few years, I usually take the liners out anyway, so to make the hat fit better I removed it a little early. I'll keep that in mind when and if I place another order...adding to my ordered size. In any case, GREAT JOB, Agnoulita!
This is my first fur felt hat I've ever bought. For the given price I am very satisfied with the visuals and feel of it. Uppon intial unpackaging, I did feel like the brim might look a bit too short for my own personal liking, but found it looks absoulutely perfect once I put it on my head. I did also size it up slightly when ordering and it ended up feeling a little to large and unstable, however the team had that in mind before shipping and added two cork strips to place underneath the sweatband, which I am super grateful for. I used them both and the hat now fits like it was made for me. Another detail I really enjoy is the fact that the leather band is not glued on, but rather sewed on, which allows me to add personal customizations, like the feather I included in the picture. :)
My only issues with it are the fact that it arrived slightly bent at the brim, but that doesn't bother me personally too much, as I intend on shaping it a bit to my own personal taste anyways. The other thing is the the brim felt stiffnes. It is marketed as extra stiff, but it feels a little flimsy, thin and slightly more bendy than I would have liked, which concerns me, as I do intend on using it mostly on horse back. That being said, this might not be an issue for someone else, who will not be using it in the same conditions as me.
Overall, I am very happy with the product and the price paid for it. Kudos to the Agnoulita team for a pleasant experience!
To start with; Agnoulita Hats runs a great company and was a pleasure to deal with them. They have an amazing website that shows the hats from multiple angles and gives all the dimensions (I wish other companies did that!). They are upfront about their pricing and delivery schedule and ordering online was easy, plus my hat arrived 2 weeks ahead of time.
The Dakota is what I would call a Western Fedora. It is made from rabbit felt that is more on par with a Fedora weight, than a Western weight, so it’s lighter and more comfortable to wear throughout the day. The felt and hat band colors shown on the website were exactly what I received. I was also kept up-to-date on the location of the hat during the shipping and clearing customs process. The quality of this hat is well above the price I paid and I am quite pleased with my new Agnoulita Hat!
As soon as I received it, I knew I had to start about restyling it to match my character. It came with a Cattleman’s crease and turned up brim, neither fit my style. I added some profile to the sides and dropped down the front of the brim. Then I went to town on that crease, turning it into more of an Arena style crease. Now it looks like MY hat :>)
This hat is a gift for my son (he hasn't seen it yet) and it is lovely. The quality is excellent and it came much sooner than expected.
The only suggestion that I would make is to provide more protection for the brim when shipping. The package was on it's side when delivered and obviously had been for a large part of the time during shipping as the brim was slightly misshapen on the side that it had been resting on. I set a heavy book on it to try to straighten it out but after awhile became concerned that it would crush the fabric of the brim so removed it and just let it sit on a level, flat surface for several days. It now seems to be okay but it would be better to give the brim additional support so that resting on it's side didn't cause it to become misshapen.

There is nothing about this hat that I don’t love! It fits perfectly, looks great and will do everything I need it to while spending the day outdoors. This is my second Agnoulita Hat and I am sold on the product.
6 months ago I contacted the people at Agnoulita with pictures of a hat I had been looking for, asking for their take on dimensions, hat style etc. They responded with genuine interest and described how they intended to go about to try recreate the shape.
The result came back with astonishing accuracy, even down to the shaping of the brim.
Half a year later, it has been the only hat I ever wore since.
I will definitely order another hat should I come across something I'd like in the future. Problem is, for how, I just need this one hat!

This hat's quality and workmanship is like vintage felt hats I've handled. I'm surprised that I was able to customize it, and got just what I envisioned.
By far the best hat I’ve ever worn. The quality and feel is outstanding. But to top it off, it’s exactly my size. Everywhere else I’ve bought hats, it’s either too small or the quality wasn’t there. This one is it’s all there. Worth the buy.

This is my second hat from Agnoulita and I've got to say, I am very happy with them. The craftsmanship is great: Great quality felt, beautiful two-piece lining, the binding of the brim is flawless, the leather sweat band consists of to layers of which the inner one is sewed to the felt - it ticks all the boxes of a quality hat at a decent price.
My first hat came in perfect condition, this one needed a little work though. The brim was stuck in the upper position and it was so stiff and tense, that I couldn't get it down without kinking it. Hot steam and some TLC fixed this problem with ease and while at it, I reshaped the whole hat a little bit to my liking (mostly getting the brim to flow right and making the pinch a little more pronounced). It's not hard to do, but for someone who doesn't dare to work on a hat themselves, this would have been an issue.
Anyways, I am very pleased with this hat. It gives me exactly the vintage style I was looking for and which isn't easy to find in a hat anymore. I'm quite positive that this won't be my last purchase of an Agnoulita.
Flat Crown Western Cowboy Hat in Black Wool Felt | The Bolero
I got this hat to wear to silent film showings and Pre-War car shows. The hat arrived well packed in a hat box, and included a cotton bag (I assume for travel, storage, dust protection, etc.) This hat is divine - the material and rigidity is perfect, and it fits perfectly. Black as night, it is stunning with almost any outfit, and (most importantly) is historically accurate, with a very tall crown and wide hatband. If you are looking to make an investment in your personal style and need something that will last through business meetings and long hot days, this hat will do it. I haven't tried it in the rain yet, but it stays attached to my lapel with the button I added, so I feel comfortable wearing it in the varied and tornado-prone weather of Kansas. 100/100, if I need another hat, I'm choosing Agnoulita.

I ordered custom hat (with even higher internal crown height than originally possible on the ordering form). It took some time to complete, but the hat is crafted perfectly. All the details, seams, finish and overal fit is just spot on. Also, I wasn't expecting such a nice box to be provided with the hat free as well. Strongly recommend.
The Shadows is the first hat I ordered from Agnoulita. I was looking for an authentic looking '40s style hat at a reasonable price and found exactly that. The hat is crafted beautifully and exactly to my specifications. It fits very nicely and wears comfortably. I am very happy with this beautiful classic Fedora and it is very likely I'll buy another Agnoulita hat in the future.
