Measuring Your Head

Step 3
Ensure the tape forms a comfortable circle around your head. Avoid pulling the tape too tight unless you prefer a snug fit.
Step 4
Record the measurement where the tape meets.
A tight-fitting hat wears higher and stays on better on a windy day. It could feel a bit uncomfortable, though, during a long stroll on a hot sunny day. A looser-fitting hat, on the other hand, is far more comfortable, but your hat will wear a bit lower.
